Leveraging his existing background in lawn care, he took the initiative to secure a business license and underwent professional training. Elijah started mowing lawns in high school as a way to save for college with nothing but his grandpa's Troy-Bilt mower and a 5x8 trailer. After marrying his wife Sadie, the couple realized there was a great opportunity to provide standout lawn care and landscaping services in the Knoxville area and started St. John Lawn Care. Over several years, Elijah grew his business through many long hours and a commitment to the highest standard of integrity, hard work, and excellence. When not working, he enjoys spending time with Sadie and their three kids, being outdoors (especially at the lake), working on old automobiles, and riding a unicycle—an interest he's had since high school.
Colby, a native Knoxvillian, joined St. John Lawn Care in early 2025 and split his time between doing equipment repairs and serving as an extra crew leader when needed. As our company grew, Colby began working full time and learned all the ins and outs of everyday operations. He now handles everything from scheduling to managing crews and machinery and is always there with a smile and helping hand for anyone that needs it. When not at work, Colby enjoys being outside, experimenting with various mechanical projects, and taking care of his pet turtles.
Gabriel joined our team when there were just a few of us. His 20+ years in the mowing and landscaping industry have had a massive impact on the quality of work our company delivers. While he performs his work with precision and sincerity, he's always keeping those around him laughing with a good joke. When he's not training our newest team members or putting out fires in daily operations, Gabriel enjoys going to Bible studies with his church family and taking his dog, Max, on walks. Their favorite spot to walk is Cherokee Park in Sequoyah Hills.
Bonnie was born and raised in East Tennessee and joined St. John Lawn Care in early 2026. She is responsible for managing the office, communicating with clients, and handling many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep our business running. Bonnie holds an accounting degree from Tennessee Tech University and loves to apply her knowledge of business in a setting where she can make a positive impact on her community – from those on the St. John Lawn Care team to the hundreds of clients we serve here in Knoxville. In her free time, Bonnie likes taking a break from spreadsheets to enjoy the outdoors, go on hikes, play the piano, and be involved with her church.
